Emergency First Response Course
December 10

December 10, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies.

The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

We offer CPR and First Aid classes to learn how to perform CPR and administer First Aid to adults, children and infants. We all want to protect and take care of our family and friends. If ever an accident occurs, these skills could save someone’s life.

Our CPR & First Aid classes teach you how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, as well as heat and cold emergencies. You’ll also learn how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies, so you can help victims of any age.

By successfully completing these courses you’ll earn CPR and First Aid certifications that are valid for two years.

Skills that will be covered during your training:

  • Scene Assessment
  • Barrier Use
  • Primary Assessment
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Serious Bleeding Management
  • Shock Management
  • Spinal Injury Management
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking Management

Price: $125

What does the course fee include?

  • Tuition fee
  • Study materials (Rescue Diver Manual and Diving Accident Management Flowchart)
  • Lifetime “PADI Rescue Diver” certification card

Ocean Adventures Dive Club membership.

This class is open to everyone-divers and non-divers! CPR saves lives. Statistics show that the earlier CPR is initiated, the greater the chances of survival. In fact, the American Heart Association estimates that 100,000 to 200,000 lives of adults and children could be saved each year if CPR were performed early enough.
