If giant kelp, unlimited diving and stargazing from a Jacuzzi out on the open Ocean appeal to you, join us September 24-25 for our annual trip to San Miguel Island. The Peace boat will leave from Ventura Harbor midnight on Thursday, September 23rd, returning on Saturday night, September 25th.
Kelp Diving Kelp grows in underwater "forests" called kelp forests. Kelp requires nutrient-rich water below about 68 F or (20 °C). It grows as fast as three feet a day, ultimately reaching up to 100 ft.
Live-aboard diving An alternative to the floating hotels (aka cruise ships), the Peace boat offers great meals, hot showers, Jacuzzi and comfortable berths for a limited amount of divers. This ensures personalized attention and a great diving experience.

Each student will have 18 months to complete the program. If you do not complete the program in 18 months, you will have to pay the full price of each the certification requirement remaining.

It insures that you have the best quality and state-of-the-art gear available.
If there's a problem with fit or function, OADC will make it right.
All OACD dive profressionals and staff use only OADC gear for all their diving and training. This means that the staff is intimately familiar with every piece of equipment you wear while diving.

How would you like to come back from Hawaii on Friday and leave for Palau the next day? Regional Manager at PADI Americas, Mike Janssen will be the featured speaker at Ocean Adventures Dive Club this Tuesday night and will share with you some ideas on where you might consider going next with your diving passion. He made diving his life, embraced the lifestyle and the transformation that came with learning to dive and becoming a dive professional.
When you finished your Open Water certification, you started on a journey. Where it will lead is up to you. Tuesday night you are going to hear from OADC staffers Tim and Szilvia, who will share their stories about becoming professional divers. We all share a common bond that comes with diving; a sense of wonderment and passion for the sea. Learn how to turn that passion into your profession!
So what is that opportunity? Its whatever you want it to be. Travel PADI qualifications are recognized worldwide. Recreation A change from your primary occupation. Many PADI professionals work full time during the week and teach diving and lead dive trips in the weekends. They welcome the change, the different perspective and the social opportunities teaching diving offers. Adventure Dive trips, expeditions, technical and cave diving, to name a few.
